He was sacked ultimately because he didn't get a tangible return out of the January investment.

    The rest is just bluster.

But he was at least competent.

forgetting the goals.... 'we were really happy with the way we performed'.... I'm sorry but!!

Its a results business. In the past i've liked his interviews, but this interview one is somewhat delusional.

We can hope. We thought after Leeds that Hughes would come in for McLoughlin and that didn't happen.

Or that he'd do much better with the current squad, forced on him last minute by the owner and his "brains trust "

    He's in hospital with appendicitis.

It's been stated on here and widely reported since full time.

That's why he wasn't on the squad, if not starting

This revisionism that every game under Rosenior was nails on a chalkboard isn't much better. The truth is somewhere in between. But Walter IS nails on chalkboards in every game so far.

    Fun fact for you.

Of all Regan Slaters successful passes this season (League games) he made 34% of them in the 22 minutes he was on the pitch last night.

It’s interesting that while Acun is, it appears, a far better owner, the Allams were more astute where managers are concerned and brought in better ones. So far, Acun has sacked McCann - who was doing well - and brought in Shota. Rosie was a great call, but then he sacks him after our best league position for a while and brings in … potential disaster. If he’d come back, I’d have McCann back in a shot.

The brains trust bought most of Liam's squad as well.

Walter has had a veto on a much larger turnover in any window Rosenior had.

You can't have it all ways. The next month is crucial.

Though we shouldn't sack him now. That's ridiculous. He's has his squad together for 1 game so far.

Not with such a huge turnover and as last minute as Walter has had to deal with

After sleeping on it the glaring issue is 100% midfield, signing all these apparent balling midfielders to play fin Burns on his lonesome against one of the best sides in the league is outrageously poor.

Not only that but bypassing the midfield seemingly by design just makes the whole strategy weird.

We were were dull and ineffective at home last season. Now we’re just plain bad. But last season at times we were electric away and looked capable of beating anyone (except Plymouth). I can’t see that happening this year. More likely to get regularly mullered.

3-3 with Ipswich at home 2-2 with Leicester. 4-2 win over Sheff Weds, 3-2 win over Blackburn. We had some stinkers but to ignore the good performances at home is just silly.

Regardless of how you feel about someone, posting things like this so juvenile. It’s embarrassing to read a forum of grown (mostly old) men throw insults at each other like school children.

I'm not sure bypassing it is the plan. There's some tactical analysis from Germany that suggests he tries use that direct forward pass through the midfield, but we haven't seen anything like that yet, apart from when Seri bosses the second half vs wednesday in the cup.

But he apparently didn't fit the style.
