This isn't a new issue though. It's something we've struggled with for a long time with a long list of players.

I thought Sheff Utd struggled with their final ball too, there were a fair few examples where they'd have been in had that final ball been right.

Just get him gone now and save us the trouble in a few weeks time. I said in pre season that I don't think Tims system would work in the championship, but it would at least be exciting. It's not even that. We look absolutely clueless and I honestly can't see where a win is going to come from. I also can't watch another 90 mins of him throwing his hands in the air and gesturing to the bench every time one of his players makes a mistake, it makes him look like a ****.

I still maintain we have a very good championship squad and there's potential to have a good season, it just won't happen with him in charge

Yet they consistently found more ways through than us, despite doing nothing special.

We are over elaborating. The players know it, the fans know it, judging by his face the owner now knows it.

Only person who thought that was our best performance was Timmy.

Obviously you want the 3v3. We had several of those tonight and we routinely had loads of them last season too. The amount of times Delap would turn and stride away giving us a break similar to the Mehlem one today. But then as now, we were crap at converting it into anything. The idea that we never got into good positions because of the playing out from the back was always total bollocks.

And yep, the obsession with tempo and speed that has exploded into football discourse over the last year or two is a trend I could do without. It was pretty much never mentioned at all only a few years ago.

Agree with the first part, but Sheff Utd only struggled with theirs some of the time. Cut us to bits at other times, which was the crucial difference. If we could do it two times out of 10 that'd be a huge improvement.

Can see why Tim "didn't understand" Seri. A midfielder who actually got on the ball. Will never work.

Burns' performance tonight really was strange. When we had the ball he just moved side to side over and over, making no attempt to show for the ball. I'm thinking it must've been an instruction because it was so extreme. But I can't imagine why. That midfield role seems to be the weirdest part of Walter's system, it's the bit I find hardest to understand and it seems to be the role he's finding it hardest to get someone to perform to his standard. I never understood it at the start of the summer when those Bundesliga 2 people were telling us he doesn't want his midfielders involved in the buildup and it's not becoming any clearer as time goes on.

It’s ****, we bypass midfield so Sean McLoughlin can have a go at being Kevin De Bruyne

As of tonight, our home form in The Championship since the start of 2019/20 is W31 D24 L40. I check this periodically because it went off a cliff at the start of that season and has never really recovered, and I don't think people realise how long it's been a problem.

I think there have been a few caveats to that mind, the pitch has been a problem and the squad has been unbalanced, this is the first year we've had a more balanced squad. We've had a real lack of wingers in recent years & I've got completely fed up seeing a Slater playing out wide or at full back or Tufan as a false 9 or on the wing. And low blocks are hard enough to break down without players in their usual positions.

What an embarrassing display. Short corner after short corner until they score from one, then lining up for another and the crowd boos so Omur decides to actually put it in the box.

We had 5 new signings in the line up today against a relegated side, an entirely new attack. Last season we had 4 new signings in the line up against a relegated side with an entirely new attack. Difference is last year we won 1-0 away at Leicester to make it 3 wins from 5 to start the season and 10 goals scored. 1 from open play so far this season with this brilliant 'heart attack football'.

Patience starting to wear pretty thin.

We had a very balanced squad in 19/20 just as we do now, for what that's worth. The seasons with Tufan as a false 9 and Slater as a part-time full back were far more successful.

Before long we're probably going to see Drameh starting at left back which will also be in contravention of correct position law, but if he's better at playing there than a natural left-sided player is for us then so be it.

Our tactics make absolutely zero sense. Sign a bunch of CMs and then bypass midfield. Sign a maraudering, front footed CB in Hughes and then don't start him so that McLoughlin can look up, **** himself, and pass sideways to Coyle or Giles who can then pass back to Pandur who can then pass to McLoughlin so he can **** himself again.

Lots of passes and high possession numbers but we look so utterly clueless. The issue is that it's not as if the midfield aren't creating space and options, there were so many times where Coyle or McLoughlin just had to play a ball in to Burns or Omur or Mehlem and they instead turned back to Pandur. Kamara and Belloumi must be wondering what the point is.

And once again our best chances came almost despite our style of play not because of it. Bedia winning a 50/50 that suddenly opened up a bank of space, or Coyle throwing a ball in the box with Mehlem attacking the cross unexpectedly. This isn't sustainable.

And then every time we turn it over it takes two passes and we're relying on a great stop from Pandur to deny the opposition.

I wouldn't say this squad is balanced at all. Two out and out strikers, one of which is basically a kid, so one experienced striker, seemingly no good natural left back option, and then about 10 CMs.

I'm currently counting the games to see an improvement. But I'm not hopeful at the moment.

I think Walter has been out of his depth since he stepped in.

But we have to give him the same grace period as anyone else otherwise we'll be called 'negative' or biased by the numpties that wanted rid of Rosenior and got a bit of a hard on after Acun made a populist justification for his own ****ing scorched earth strategy.

Defensively, It's like watching my kids under 12's FFS.

And that would be fine if there was an attacking cohesion, but there hasn't been, nor even any encouraging signs , unless you're a lunatic who thought that was the best performance yet.

It was f*cking!**** and Walter looks like a very angry rabbit in headlights who's gonna be roadkill very soon at the current rate.

Personally I thought that was significantly better than watching Rosieball - still early, players bedding in - we have some good players and it will come together before long - dodged a bullet with Moore, useless - plus their player should have had a red

And it was still better than this ****ing shambles. We literally got done by pub league tactics last night.

It's that clear. This side under a decent gaffer doesn't roll over multiple times by a simple ball thought the middle like that.

Our last 3 goals have been conceded directly from our own corner.

    It's that simple. For f*ck's sake. <doh>

Once is forgiveable, but twice in the same game after a fortnight to work on it? Really ???!!!

What are you actually watching and from how far up your own f*cking arse?
