I’m surprised that nobody has kicked off with Speakman in the BVB shirt near the start of Jude’s video mind

International break is so boring and has interrupted our momentum, really bad timing imo.
We are all really looking forward to the game, feeling unusually (for us) confident and the manager has deservedly picked up the Motm award which is often a bloody curse on the next game.
Everything pointing to a Plymouth win :emoticon-0104-surpr so I've gone for a draw which would keep us ticking along just fine.

That's my concern as well (not necessarily much foundation to it, it's just inherent). The main point of comfort we can take in that regard is that the deadline day business means that every player (except maybe the fullbacks) has someone not currently playing breathing down their neck so can't afford to take their foot off the pedal and be complacent. There's Mepham threatning the centrebacks, Aleksic and Samed competing for an already competitive midfield place, Poveda for RW and Isidor for upfront or left wing...

    I just don’t get it.

hes a multi millionaire with a house up Cheshire equipped with every need, so far his management career has been an absolute disaster so why has he decided to displace himself as far away from his family as he can to give it another go? Must really back himself mind but just haven’t seen anything yet.

surely if this stint goes badly then that’s the last we will see of him in management.

He is 17 could probably play 3 times a day and still nip to the park for a kick about <laugh>.

In jest of course. Need to rest the young lads regularly imo.

I think we'll have more of the ball against Plymouth than we did against Portsmouth. They will want to avoid defeat at all costs. For that reason I'd have Rigg in the 10 role and choose between Neil, Brown and Jobe to fill the other 2 slots - just feels like Rigg can make things happen in an advanced role.

    Great problems to have

Can’t see past another win for the lads, I’m going 2-0 (Mayenda and Neil).

I'm expecting to see Jobe in at 10 but also expect to see Rigg for at least 25 minutes. These are great problems to have, I'm expecting to see us start to rotate very soon also, the squad is big and there are a lot of players who will need minutes to stay happy and stay progressing. Samed made 6 Champions League appearances last season, Isidore, Aouchiche, Ba, Hjelde, Poveda, Watson, Zak Johnson, Mepham etc

Your post followed RTB's breakdown of what our manager had said in the press conference. When I first read your post, I thought RTB had created an audio version of this thread and was looking around for an audio link. I then realised you said RLB, not RTB. <laugh>

Brilliant thread as usual RTB, even if it isn't an audio version!

I can't see past an away win tomorrow. Important that we keep it tight in the first 15 minutes, then pick them off. I hope RLB uses his 5 options tomorrow to keep everyone at it.
I reckon 0-3 (Mundle, Mayenda, Jobe), although I have pressed a draw in the options above, as I've done this to good effect for the other 4 games so far this season

They are but I thought that on the day they hadn't adjusted to losing players and didn't play well.

But Sunderland just needs to keep going as we are.

    Great thread as usual @RTB
I've gone 3-0 to the lads.
Be very satisfying to piss on Rooney's chips.
    Safe travels to all going.

Ex SAFC player in the Plymouth team. And one, arguably, that should never have been sold.

Now that would likely tip him over the edge.
    Let it be so.....
