    No and no.

    He looks a good player.
He may be free in the summer.
His legs are short. He’s tiny.

    Mustard Chinos are hideous.

One of the other problems we are going to have moving forward trying to breach the top 4 is player wages.

The gulf in player wages between us and the big so called 4 is huge.

200k a week minimum for most established top players now.

    We can’t afford that yet.

if we could afford to pay Targett half that in 2022 and stick Lloyd Kelly on the same this year, I beg to differ.

Everyone has become obsessed with competing for top 4, but It's a trophy the club needs.

I don't actually care if they break into the elite clubs I just want an fa cup, league cup, Europa league cup, or conference League cup.

The reality is Newcastle were a nothing club and a small fry, no frills business before the takeover and it's going to take all our lives to get even anywhere remotely close to being a regular top 4 club.... decades at least.

They finished 4th once and people have lost a sense of reality.

I think Newcastle could possibly win one of the smaller trophies much like West Ham.

I don't think Newcastle are in a position to be talking about winning titles or breaking into the top 4 as a club yet. it's fantasy at this stage of the build. The side finishing 4th once is not the same as the business being one of the biggest.

Newcastle fans have definitely started showing their true colours again just like under bobby and you can all get touchy on the subject, but we all know it happened and we all see the reaction to this summers transfer activity.... tantrums.

I'll now get the it was only small numbers defence which isn't quantifiable and doesn't mean it never happened... it was large enough numbers thats for sure..... all fanbases are the same.

Surely you understand that in the grand scheme of investment and growth, a trophy is almost irrelevant aside from getting into Europe!

I do but I'm being realistic... they have an outside chance of cup... the club simply isn't big enough to compete with the elite clubs presently.

For whatever reason many fans seem completely oblivious to the scale of difference between nufc and the big 6.

They have literally no chance whatsoever at the moment of landing top 4 again any time soon..... it was like I advised at the time and since simply a good season for the side on the pitch.

Interesting comments from Howe on transfers. Said he was instrumental in the likes of Isak, Botman, Bruno but again left a big hole as to why it all went a bit weird (he didn’t even mention PSR, the silence implied it was something else).

Managers always hang on the coattails of the clubs successes and brush off failures onto someone else.

The club couldn't get their targets and did in the past. That's it.
