    Watford v Coventry.

Before the International break Watford's perfect start was halted by a weak one nil loss away to Sheffield Utd. Previously, Tom Cleverley's men had won five in a row, including two in the Cup. Watford, apart from the loss, have appeared like a new team under the inexperienced coach. I saw a few of you have put Watford high up in the predictions league. However, for me the optimism is still to be fully lit despite early signs of my beloved team looking exactly like one.

Coventry, sit on four points, their opening league game and last one being losses, but they have also won their two Cup games. Mark Robins has been in charge there for a while now, they were robbed in the FA Cup semifinal last season, a game I had to endure with United fans in England. I don't know anything about their transfer activity over the summer or players to a great detail. But you can check that here.

    Watford's team news is that:

    Baah is 50/50
Louza is close to a return
    Ngakia is made of glass.
Keben is still injured from when he was signed.
It might be too soon for Ogbonna.
    Source.

Also, here is Tom talking about the club's number 9 situation.

    Embryonic table & Upcoming Fixtures.

    ENJOY THE GAME. COMMENTS WELCOME.

Thanks for the thread Mex. I was wondering in a bramble patch where to start.
Not sure if our new striker will start, but he seems to be ready for it. I doubt that he will be asked too many times to do an interview.:emoticon-0114-dull:

Interesting accent. Almost sounded, to me, like a Yank trying to put on an English accent.

I don't think that Canadians would like their accent to be described as "like a Yank trying to put on an English accent"!

So presumably if he played for England some would say he isn’t English?!

Depends how well he plays - John Barnes was apparently English.

Listening to the lead up commentary on iFollow - very strange. Plenty of crowd noise along with what sounds like 3CR discussing the Wimbledon Vs MK Dons match. Much to my delight, they are really slating ex Hornet Mike Williamson - predicting relegation if he's not sacked soon.

Meanwhile winter has arrived up here. Supposedly 16C but we're all rugged up with jumpers and blankets - I suspect that C should be an F...
