The Saudi’s are very “hands off” I thought?

Good for him. An unusual move but maybe helps us open up more avenues in Brazil going forward

Summer 2025 will be epic for transfers.

    • £100m from this year into the kitty
    • More sponsorship
    • 10 players going
Let's not forget that the Citeh case may blow the cheeks apart of the PL and allow us to go all in.

Gary Neville has been venting against PSR on Sky. Saying that the Premier League has it's thumb pressed down against Newcastle's head, holding us back and saying 'you can't invest'. Said the rules need to change in the next 12 months to allow owners to invest as much as they want to, as long as it is upfront investment, with no risk to a clubs long-term financial security. Said NUFC should be allowed to spend to the level required to catch up to Man City if our owners wish to spend that much.

He’s ****ing right, and the issue the PL has is trying to justify Chelsea and Man Us lavish over spending when they’ve both been so bad for so long.

In terms of transfers we should’ve done something this summer as we’re leaving a mountain to climb in the face of huge restrictions. 11 players out of contract, a fair few 30 or over with 5 being over 33.

Of course he's right .. it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. Unfortunately what Neville thinks won't make difference to the people with grubby hands.

This is true. But enough high profile noise for long enough would probably be damaging to the brand.

Unfortunately it'll never get enough support became deep down most people are pleased that Newcastle or any other clubs can't compete and upset their weekends.

I agree and I think it probably has to change soon.

The window with the bonkers sales of youth home grown players proves that it’s not fit for purpose meanwhile Chelsea spend 700m in 24 months. How is that fair?

Oh come on man, you know that is just made up bullshit. Can just see Mitchell emailing the daily fail on Tuesday night and saying ' watching the England game and that Gomes looks good, he is going to the top of our list for Jan. Please keep quiet to give us a chance, cheers Pauly'

I didn’t give the rumour any credibility, I just said the price was right!

And he’d be an upgrade on Longstaff to boot.

He was quick on the ball but his legs are really small. I think he might get bullied in the PL mind.
