Good Morning. It's Wednesday 11th September, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

How will Leeds fare after International Break

Though facing more disruption than any other side in the division due to international call-ups, Leeds United continues to navigate challenges with resilience. Currently, twelve players, all crucial members of Leeds’ matchday squads, are away from Thorp Arch, leaving Daniel Farke with just a dozen senior players to work with (and one of those is Bamford).

Burnley, Middlesbrough, and West Brom also experienced high levels of call-ups, although in Burnley's case, many of them were kept away from travelling with their respective Countries due to various knocks - it will be interesting to see how many of the nine receiving treatment make the trip to Elland Road

This underlines the unique challenges that Leeds face during the extravagant number of International breaks. Even if all twelve return injury free, jetlag, fatigue and lack of preparation just before a face-off against your biggest rivals in the division is far from ideal!

Palestine group want to educate Leeds fans

A group calling themselves 'Leeds Palestine Solidarity Campaign' are urging Whites fans to join them in distributing leaflets en-route to Elland Road, to help try and educate us!

Titled 'Leeds Utd supporters for Palestine', the incredibly insulting flyer states that whilst 'most Leeds Utd supporters are not racist, providing them with information will help them counter the ones that are', strongly suggesting that unless we support their cause against Israel - then we are racist.

Does Firpo deserve contract extension

Junior Firpo can do no wrong! Once dubbed 'useless and incompetent' the 28yo's fortunes have transformed under the watchful eye of Daniel Farke.

His attacking play in particular down the left channel have impressed large sections of the Elland Road faithful, with some even suggesting the 28yo deserves a new contract. Firpo 28, is in the last twelve months of his contract, and can leave Leeds for free next Summer unless he signs new terms.

Former club Real Betis were keen to reunite the Dominican Republic International with former team-mates Marc Roca and Diego Llorente, but given Leeds lack of depth at full-back, rejected Betis' advances. Does Junior Firpo deserve a new contract or should Leeds be looking for an upgrade next Summer; much will depend on which division they're in!

Morning all. Football and sport for me is a distraction from the normal crap you see on the news. Be it Israel, politics or whatever. Ive zero interest in any of that and certainly wouldn't want it stuck in my face on a match day. If they're seriously considering a contract extension for Bamford then Firpo surely deserves one

Popey jokingly suggested that we could keep Firpo as a reserve striker, allowing us to release Bamford.

Max Wober may have made his calf injury much worse by playing for Austria against Slovenia last Friday evening. If he can't play for Leeds how on earth was he allowed to play for Austria?

How can we release Bamford he has a contract and he says what happens. There is no way he will leave unless we can offload him to some mugs on a free.

Because he is an ugly arsefaced rat who only thinks of himself.

Hopefully everybody refuses to take these propaganda leaflets and let them know not everything revolves around Palestine and for the ones that don't take the hint they can wait 4-6 hours at the LGI to have their leaflets surgically removed from their arseholes.

I could make some great paper planes with those leaflets for the grandson <whistle>

I believe Firpo, doesn't want to sign a new contract and is looking at the rewards being a free agent brings with it.

Morning Leeds fans.

Would not be happy to see Firpo go. I think he's a useful asset at this level, as long as we don't rely on him to do any defending of course.

Oh and if anyone gets one of those informative leaflets could they post a copy on here please? I won't be at the game on Saturday.

Firpo right now is the best LB in the league but I think he won’t sign a new contract and will leave on a free next summer. Another player we won’t see a profit from. Hope Schmidt gets some game time and eclipses Firpo.

As for the Palestine lobby group they can fook right off and maybe any Leeds fans who have sympathy for Hamas, should remember that Jews were at the front of building Leeds into a cosmopolitan city. Jews like the Ziff family who build the Stylo shoe empire, Manny Cussins who owned Leeds Utd and brought Don Revie to the club, and various furniture stores Like Waring and Gillow, John Peters and many more, the Leslie Silver and the way he brought in Howard Wilkinson and some of our latter day legends like Radebe, Yaboah, Vinny, Strachan, batty, Speeds etc. the YEP even had a huge article not long agaoncalled “History Entwined:Leeds Utd and the Cities Jewish Community”
