His career has spiraled downwards since he joined us. He thought he was going to become a first team player for an EPL side and then finds out he is not wanted and has been fobbed off to some crappy team in Turkey...
Not really. He’s contracted to us and we paid a big fee for him. He has to honour his contract unless we get a fee we’re happy with.
If ABK doesn’t leave, I wouldn’t mind him getting some match time from him. THB has struggled these opening matches.
Which windows are still open? Surely not many? I don’t think many of us expected THB to struggle. I would wonder whether perhaps there was a reason Burnley didn’t pay out but they seemed to have a cap on how much they would spend on an individual player. And Tella cutting it for the team that won the league in Germany but them refusing to pay up for him sort of reinforces that
Well it is. You're both right. Obviously we don't have to release him unless we get a fee we're happy with but if we accept a bid/loan offer from a club he doesn't have to join that club.
Of course, the contract protects player and club. It he doesn’t want to go he can train with the u23’s and collect his paycheque.
It's for the best for all parties, no point in messing around as his value will only decrease further the less he plays. Glad he's getting the move he wants.
Still annoys me that we have never given him a proper go. Tallest striker in the league and we haven’t crossed the ball to him a single time.
Nah much better we spunk even more money to get the goal machine which is Ross Stewart. Our recruitment in the striker department is an absolute joke. I still think he had something to offer us this season given how desperate we're likely to end up
Same here. Can easily see him scoring a few late goals. His finishing doesn’t even seem that bad. But we will never know. I remember when we used to argue on here about whether players should be given a run of 5 or 10 games to see that they can do. Tall paul wasn’t even given a run of 5 minutes. You’re spot on. Our striking recruitment has been an absolute abomination for years. Carrillo, tall paul, Ross Stewart.. Jesus
An all round nice guy, I used to work the doors in town back in the day. Saw Ostlund a few times, sorted out a signed programme for my nephew (didn't have kids back then) a simpler time please log in to view this image Pahars enjoyed a drink and so did Lundekvam. In fact, thinking about it, most of the squad certainly didn't seem to be on any sort of curfew for mid week drinking! No wonder we were ****
Actually, we did. Once. He hit the bar. Not worth trying again........ https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...68/post-p-onuachu-86-west-ham-1-0-southampton
He did. It's come out that he was going through some rough issues at the time. As much as I'd like the money, I think I'd absolutely hate being a professional footballer
