... no doubt that he's staying at Sunderland.

He's just done what people have been demanding and given a statement.

Perhaps it's time to just let him get on with whatever he's doing and concentrate on the football.

"Kristjaan Speakman says that Sunderland are already turning their attentions to the January transfer window and will be able to strengthen the squad where necessary."

He made a point where he said they were working on the purchase of Milan before the sale of Clarke. I’m sure that some supporters think that we only go after one player at a time.

Where did it ever come from that he was leaving?

I’ve seen a few mention it as if it was definite/imminent.

There seems to be a theory that if Speakman told the supporters what he's up to, on the quiet ...

... we'd all promise to keep it a secret from the clubs and agents he's negotiating with.

The trouble is there's also some snitch who'd blow the whole cunning plan <doh>

It's like that at every club, supporters claiming to know better than the proffessionals that have been doing it for years.
It's fine to have an opinion, it's fine to debate tactical substitutions, but some fans think it's their divine right to slagg anyone and everyone off when it's not going our way. That's not a supporter.

I've been there when we went down in 87 to the highs of watching the G force demolish teams, then our record low points in the premier league, then finishing 7th twice in a row.
Then theres the manager with charlatans like McMenemy (18.6% win rate), Wilkinson (14.8% win rate) , Moyes (18.6% win rate), Grayson (16.7% win rate), Coleman and Dodds (15.4% win rate)

Ellis did us a huge favour wiping out the debt, Donald thought he could make a quick buck, Methran has introduced a model of sustainability. We have players that bigger teams are after, we are moving in the right direction, our academy is producing some great talent.

    Onward and upward.

    Haway the lads.

Here's a Boro story to get you started.

Me, Robin Connolly and Glen the Merciless had driven from Mansfield to Ayresome Park for the match.

We were on that big open terrace and it absolutely pissed it down all match. We got back to the car, stripped down to our underpants and set off for home. The rain was still stotting down and we were pulled, by the police, for doing over 80mph going round the 50mph slip road onto the A1 ...

... the policeman put his cap on, came to my window and signalled for me to follow him to his car.

I wound down my window, he looked at my soggy ballsack, shook his head and said 'go on f*ck off' <laugh>
