It’s common practice to place permanent signings aged 21 or below in the U21 squad - pretty sure Cole Palmer is registered in Chelsea’s for example
Like in the Premier League, Championship clubs are limited to naming 25 players. In League’s One and Two, clubs are only permitted to name 22 ‘senior’ players. Eight of the 25 must be home-grown, a player, regardless of nationality, that has been registered with any club associated with the English or Welsh FA for at least three years prior to turning 21. Any player aged 21 or under doesn’t have to be included in the 25-man squad. However, any loan player – irrespective of age – must be included. A player is deemed to be an ‘Under-21’ if they are under the age of 21 as of January 1 of the year in which the season starts. For the 2024/25 campaign, this is someone born on or after January 1, 2003. Each club must submit its squad list to the EFL within 24 hours of the conclusion of the summer transfer window. The way Zac Jagielka keeps banging them in for the u18s I wouldn’t mind him having some cameos off the bench.
I read somewhere that Liverpool had been reluctant to let him go and were accepting of the player's intent.
I genuinely don't think we'll get another striker. Despite how important we know it is. Acun just won't. He had 2 months to do it. And he managed to get 2 in that have left me underwhelmed. Twt on if I'm harsh on Bedia and Burstow. Burstow especially and who know he could be great next season ir the one after.
Turkish transfer window closes on the 13th, maybe interest in Sinik ? I don't see him getting a game, when he is fit...
Anyone on here know latest status of us signing Alzate? Is it done? Fingers crossed. Think it could be a cracking, important signing for us.
Adam Phillips, who we were looking at over the Summer, already has four goals for Barnsley this season. I feel like he would have been a better option than Palmer.
