This is the problem. There is so much demand, people will never boycott. So clubs can do what they like. (Same as Oasis)

We would have if we’d spent some money in that January (not that I’m still bitter)

Do they normally provide a list of games for each category then? I thought they just set the prices for each category and then made those available which is effectively what I have posted above.

This is the article from last season for example which just shows the prices and not what matches were in each category:

    https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/match-ticket-prices

For what it's worth I reckon both West Ham and Wolves will be category B :emoticon-0110-tongu

They definitely used to but I'm not sure at which point it stopped. Might be years back tbh as time goes a lot quicker for me these days.

It's weird they didn't announce match day prices at all though. Definitely first time that's happened.

Probably not as they're a big club with big support and a relatively small ground so they'll all sell out still I imagine.

Imagine paying £90 for a group match with Bologna though. Beyond insane and I never would pay that much.

I think I'd honestly struggle with more than £50 for any normal match and not a cup final etc. I think Wembley this year the only time I've paid that much for a ticket.

@Libby I emailed the club to ask if they had a list of which category each match would be in for this season and they came back with this:

    upload_2024-9-6_13-54-25.png

So yeh, they could put some matches in a higher category than you would normally expect them to be (like Fulham in April for example) which I guess is a form of dynamic pricing but I'm not so sure they will do that to be honest (feel free to come back to me on this at any point in the season though :emoticon-0102-bigsm)

Bloomberg reporting that Todd Boehly (40%) and Clearlake Capital (60%) have seen their relationship deteriorate due to disagreements over the club's direction, the amount of money invested and the lack of return in terms of trophies and/or UCL qualification. They are reported to be exploring options to buy the other party out of the club and assume 100% control

So who has been calling the shots so far ? Or is it a mix ? It’s difficult to know how things would be different if either party had 100%. Are these 3 different scenarios? Status quo, 100% boehly or 100% Clearlake? Or is one of the latter two functionally the same as what is currently happening?

Boehly is Chelsea chairman and in his group he has himself, Mark Walter and Hans Jorg Wyss. There's nine board appointments in total and they're on a split of 4 for Boehly and 5 for Clearlake, I believe. How the intricacies work I couldn't quite tell you but the suggestion is Clearlake aren't happy

Yeah that’s what I thought. I thought the transfer strategy was basically all Boehly. And it’s mostly nonsensical so you can see why they are annoyed

To be fair the way Palace are looking this season it looks like they might be on the table instead.
