    Any thoughts of what the future holds for him...why is his position at Renault under threat in the first place, despite quite an improvment from last year...?

    I think Marussia will snap him up so he wont be left without a drive in the future but he is not world championship material is he. he is more of a Frentzen

    Why does he want to leave Renault?
    Surely that's the best team he ever gonna get?

    With Marussia going Russian it makes sense for them to try and get Petrov, but is he really that desperate that he'll be willing to drive for a team that are constantly outdone by the shambles that is HRT?

    He now has Kimi for a team-mate with Kubica waiting in the wings, I can't see Petrov featuring much next year at Renault if both return on form.

    yeah I suppose he will have to seat share with Kubica so Its weather he wants that or a full time drive at another team

    almost a certainity he'll be driving at Lotus next year...according to Joe Saward Renault are merely trying to milk as much money from him as possible
