Hopefully these rules will come to an end soon.

Yeah. But that was an option for us even before this ruling. Any club can go out and smash their PSR limit if they want to.

I don't see that this loophole changes too much in terms of how clubs might operate going forward, because it only applies to a club who gets relegated. And no club is going to plan to get relegated. (Nevertheless, I do still expect the PL to close the loophole.)

£85 as a cheapest ticket is nothing short of disgraceful. No way would I pay anywhere near that for a match which isn't a final.

Only going to get worse too. Some clubs starting to get rid of concessions which if becomes widespread will be a step too far imo.

Some football clubs have introduced dynamic pricing! Valencia have for example. Thankfully that shouldn't happen in this country.

Wouldn't count on it. I never thought we'd see clubs binning concession prices off but it's starting to happen.

When will Saints introduce Dynamic Passing?

The PL requires clubs to release their ticket prices before the season starts so won't happen there. Not sure about EFL but presume they have the same rules.

Interesting. Did Saints ever release their matchday pricing for the season?

I remember having a discussion on here that they didn't publicise it like they normally did and I couldn't find a page listing each category like they normally have.

Still can't as it goes. I'd argue we're operating dynamic pricing on the basis we haven't announced the match categories for the season meaning they can pick and choose as the season progresses.

All I can see is when I go to an individual game it classifies what category it is and lists the prices for that category.

So they haven't released their full match day pricing before the season then. Are you suggesting they're in breach of PL rules?

How much will the match against West Ham on boxing day cost if I want to take my nipper?

It's probably on the website somewhere, I just can't be bothered to look for that long!

I spent a long time (30 mins plus) earlier in the Summer and couldn't find it so I'd be interested if they could. Someone else on here tried too (DTLW maybe) so it definitely wasn't just me.

They certainly didn't make an announcement on it like they normally do either. They used to specify which game was category at the beginning of the season too but not sure when that stopped.

I'd argue this is a form of dynamic pricing. If we look at Fulham in April for example, then most people would consider that a category C match (or B absolute tops).

But if that suddenly looks like a pivotal match for our survival then there's nothing to stop the club bumping it up to a category A.

If you select each individual game then it tells you the category and the prices.

So Man Utd is Category A

    upload_2024-9-5_16-54-39.png

    Everton is Category B

    upload_2024-9-5_16-56-1.png

    and Ipswich is Category C

The currently have these details up to and including the Liverpool game on the 23rd November (Leicester is C and Liverpool is A).

Like you say though, if they haven't provided the category for each game (I couldn't find a list either) then I guess there is nothing stopping them from making every game after Liverpool category A :emoticon-0110-tongu

My point is Tom has said that PL rules state they must be announced before the season starts but if that's true we appear to be in breach of that.

Can you tell me how much the West Ham game on boxing day or Wolves game in March will cost?

They normally announce them as a whole. Why wouldn't they do that this time?

If Saints got to the Champions League and did that I think I would go from seeing all 4 games to maybe treating myself to 1 and watching the rest on tv.

Will be interesting to see if there is any impact on attendance.
