Wouldn’t be entirely surprised to see offers for Aouchiche and Ba. They’re decent footballers with potential but now quite a way from first team here.
@SAFCsource Serbia manager Dragan Stojkovic: [Milan] Aleksic showed a quality that I liked. I don't care how old he is, he represents the future. He deserves to be given a chance, to be in the company of the best. #SAFC @SAFCsource Serbia manager Dragan Stojkovic earlier in the year on Aleksic: He is only 18 years old, and I saw one reception of the ball like Messi. This is something that not everyone can do. Phenomenal control of the ball, vision, passing. With that kind of endorsement, can't wait to see him on the pitch
I Have posted on here numerous times about the fact we had to recruit young players as our academy had been decimated and this led to our first team being basically an U23 team. If we had concentrated on strictly older first team players we would not be where we are today with strength in depth of young exciting talent and a young experienced first team squad. We may of had a more experienced team then but the foundations would have been built on sand.
Yes mate. Watched a couple. Really poor standard imo. It is a case of a smattering of star talent, with a majority of inferior players. Two teams in one if that makes sense. It makes for painful watching players are so far apart in quality. I wont be rushing to watch more.
It appears we've waited for Browne when we could've signed any amount of midfield players ... ... he's come in and looks like he's been there for years.
Proper player and a proper captain mate. Delighted that we've got him. We have got some serious talent in our squad now, particularly in midfield and we are getting there with quality and depth in other areas as well. I still think we might be one short up top but hope that between Mayenda, Isidor and the young lad from Ghent we will have enough.
When he was signed I believed he'd come to save Rigg having to play too many games ... ... but now I wouldn't like to be Le Bris if he suggests Rigg gives up his place for a few games. I've no idea what happens next tbh, what does RLB do? Drop Jobe who played in Neil's position, drop Rigg for Browne, drop Browne who didn't put a foot wrong? And now he has Isidor who's come to take the pressure off Mayenda who's doing really well and won't want to miss out. I've always found players want to play every minute when the wins keep coming, this will be interesting ... ... all RLB can hope for are a few injuries and suspensions
Good luck to him. Was there for a couple of days in summer and it would be a great place to live for a year or three.
I’d rather him have to have difficult conversations and keep players happy then anyone getting injured players for teams doing well have to accept you might not play some games. It’s a big part of maturity in football
I was similarly minded, thought it might be to give Rigg and Jobe a breather when necessary and to a degree the same with Neil, but he's in their on merit thanks to Neil's daft challenge. I'm also a little bit concerned that the armband may weigh heavy on Neil at this point in time, hope I'm wrong. That's not even considering the two new lads in midfield. Mayenda will hopefully be spewing that he's not scored on Saturday and be determined to notch again down at Plymouth. Excellent problems to have. Long may it continue.
