Absolutely devastating news tonight that Sol has passed away at the age of 39. A true Blueburd. RIP Sol.
Terrible news especially when he seemed on the path to full recovery. Football lost a legend today. My thoughts are with his family. RIP Sol.
Shock and very sad news, he cared about Cardiff City, lost a lot of footballers these last few years.....Masky’s respect!
Awful news. Another club legend taken at such a young age. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Sol.
Terrible loss. Such a lovely guy with an incredible personality and total commitment to everything he did. RIP big Sol, you'll always have a piece of our hearts.
I hope the Bluebirds arrange a testimonial for him. Not just to raise funds for his family but also to acknowledge the effect he had on us Bluebirds.
There’s a tribute to him over on our board - and on OTIB. https://www.otib.co.uk/topic/226711-sol-bamba/ A very much respected professional - we hated playing against him but we all admired him too. Many of us hoped he would cross over the Severn and play for us - and he nearly joined us towards the end of the Pearson era. A terrible tragedy - taken far too soon. RIP Sol.
The first things that popped up on my phone when I woke up this morning. Stunned & shocked! RIP Sol... Fly high Bluebird
I was absolutely devastated by this news. He gave his all for City. One of my favourite players to pull on the shirt. Rest in peace Sol you absolute legend.
It’s still difficult to believe this gentle colossus of a man is no longer with us. First time I recall seeing him was for Leeds when they beat us 2-0 at home in March 2016 and he was a beast and instrumental in our defeat. Little did one expect to see him in a City shirt 6 months later and scoring in our win against the wurzels.
A lovely snapshot tribute from Sol's wife, Chloe. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar Such a great loss to his family, the football community and the world in general. RIP Sol.
