It's a difficult one to say ATM, if we're within 8/9 points of the play offs come Jan, I reckon we'll spend to try and push on, so...... Decent first half and we invest then I'm going 7-9th Poor first half of the season then 11-13th
I’ll say 12th but if we’re a few outside the plays offs in January we’ll go for it like last year. Lack of goals will let us down imo.
Sticking at 15th. I think we will struggle to score enough goals for higher. Hope I am wrong. I usually am
I said bottom 5 before a ball was kicked...Think I'll be wrong....With the talent in the camp I'm confident of a mid table or even top half finish. 5th....6th with a decent Jan window.
Between 12th and 8th. For many, this would be a huge step backwards as we finished 7th last season but the massive squad rebuild this summer was required regardless. Even if Rosenior was still here, I think recruitment would’ve happened in the same, delayed way. If you look at the Championship over the last few years, there are multiple examples of teams finishing in the play-offs or just missing out that had disappointing league finishes the following season. If you compare the 22/23 season to the 23/24 season, Middlesbrough went from finishing 4th to 8th, Coventry from 5th to 9th, Sunderland from 6th to 16th and Blackburn from 7th to 19th. Considering the massive turnover of players and the way this summer transfer window has been handled, I think a mid-table finish under Walter would be respectable given the circumstances and a normal owner would understand that and give him the following year to build on. We don’t have a normal owner though.
Rock bottom on 27 points, 3 managers, not including Dawson as interim manager on both occasions, before he too is sacked. Acun decides he’s had enough & gets rid next summer to a local businessman.
I still have absolutely no idea. Could be a complete disaster or we could find some form after Christmas and push the play offs. The former is looking more likely currently though. Optimistically I'll say lower mid table
Good shout, but 'local businessman'....Who? I didn't think there was anyone in the locality with the conkers to take it on. The ship with the Healys on board sailed a long time ago.
Well Acun will sell it cheap, just to get rid, so it could be an absolute nobody who owns his own van. Crystal Ball & all that.
