Ha, nice idea but not sure you'd get many clubs agreeing to it! Back in the day the handicaps were so easy to turn over. Players and coaches from all clubs would share info, I made a fortune out of it as did many others. I remember being in the dugout at Featherstone where the players had a punters club. We got a penalty with about 5 mins to go and a player literally shouted at his mates on the bench 'what do we need to do the handicap' and the subs frantically gesturing to him saying 'take the two'. We were getting beat by about 10 points so the only logical thing to do was go for a try but we took the 2!! How it didn't get investigated I will never know. My mate got caught in a sting by the Sun and paid the price but it was rife. He was playing for us at Donny when he got caught and we were all at it. He was just daft enough to meet a stranger and discuss it.
How is it all Pearsons fault? On one line you say they are doing it on the cheap then say they have 3 doctors but only need one and they don't come cheap. Players making soft mistakes and dumb decisions on the pitch. I have no idea and don't really care to be honest, but surely they have coaches, managers, trainers and the likes it can't all be down to the owner. Is he the owner? Are there any partners?
It's a shame, like i've said before, I like to see a strong Derby game, hate walkovers from either side.
Whoever sets the RL handicap on Betfair is a genius. I had 3 winning bets on 3 KR games a few weeks ago, something like points total +41.5 at evens and they all won but only just every time, within a point or two of the figure.
Happens in all sorts of work places. The **** dribbles down from the top. Gets to the point where those that do care and put in the effort get sick of seeing those around them getting away with murder and think what's the ****ing point. Might just be subconsciously, but it happens.
No more so than football, cricket or any other sport where the people involved can beat the bookie with their knowledge
The last match fixture exposed in football, I remember was in the very early 60's and those invovled were banned for life and some jailed. In Test cricket the players invovled were banned, and that was just for tampering with the ball, can you give us the sentances received for those involved in fixing the scores in RL if is as widespread as you say ?
