You could see last season soon as he arrived he had massive amount of ability, ability to turn quickly with ball under close control at his feet & looked like he wanted it. He did look incredibly raw also, thought the Hibs kove was ideal, then when couldn't get place in the team feared for him as it looked a completely wasted loan......with the way second half of last season went it may have done him good rather than be here & lose confidence.....lads certainly taking his chance now & its his shirt to loose tbf
"Yes it's still possible (for them to have roles to play)," said Sunderland's head coach after Saturday's Portsmouth win. "We have three or four months until the next transfer window. They'll work with us and it's still possible to play in the team." Regis Le Bris on Ba, Aouchiche & Sunderland transfer window verdict | The Northern Echo The squad is around 30 at the moment ? A few to leave at least in January. Say 20 for the match day and 6 on the injury list . The rest should be made up of development players. Can't keep them all happy.
Don’t think I saw Aaron Connolly sign for a club yet. Still only 24, 8 goals for Hull last season. Definitely lost his way and was once quite highly rated. Wonder if he would be worth a contract. Could be useful back up.
I think we'll do with what we've got and make a big push in January to sign another forward. Can also possibly see us trying to sign a fb
This is probably one of the reasons why we were not able to go to the next level of striker. They were trying to ship wages and if these two didn't get their moves, it hasn't left much legroom.
The way I'm looking at it is the way Mayenda has started this season, if he carries on like this all season and scores plenty He's going to have to if he's going to get a start at this rate mate. We've got competition all over the pitch now.
No chance, shocking attitude - id rather the young lad that we signed to be 3rd/4th choice behind Mayenda Rusyn Isidor *no particular order there
You're absolutely right, he has pace, ability and great control. What he's lacking is the split second decision strikers need ... ... he, once again, took a touch for the second goal when he should've hit if first time. Looking back at how Browne rightly nicked his goal will hopefully make him think about it.
I’ve got a good feeling the young lad is going to be mint. watched a clip on his instagram run off the shoulder he runs like ****ing bolt
Couple more & we may need to think aboit a new longer contract, presume he came on lower wages for future
Wonder when we get the scarf pics and interviews with the new lads, going to be a long 2 weeks now so need some filler content
Ba and Aouchiche both have a lot of attributes that I would thought Le Bris would really like so I'm a little surprised that they're completely in the bomb squad rather than him wanting to work with and develop them (probably Ba more so than Aouchiche since he's already worked with and the latter and it didn't work out then either). One of the things he talks about most though is probably both Ba and Aouchiche's biggest shortcoming and that is consistency. Shows how much stock he puts in that.
