Pandur - I’m sure the mistakes will come, but I like what I’ve seen so far (I avoid the pre-season friendlies). On this form, he will be hard to dislodge.

Coyle - just gives it his all. I know he was arguably partly to blame for the goal, but in my humble view, the damage was done before he could cut out the danger.

Zambrano - grew into the game, and he’s clearly not afraid to put it about. It’ll be typical of our feckin’ luck if he gets banned. He’s possibly going to be a fans favourite!

Gutted losing to TWS but until Tim has all the squad to work with, and, for a decent amount of time, I think it’s hard to judge where we are going. My fear, is that he’s become disheartened by the squad building/transfer window. Finally, I really like Giles, but clearly the Smoggies were not that bothered about him. He just needs to get his head down. If he wants away, and given that he holds a first team slot, then perhaps working his backside off and showing his worth might be his easiest way out. If, that is what he wants. UTT

Lot of love for zambrano, glad I wasn’t the only one to see it. Grew into the game as the minutes went by, tough little bugger as well, knocking some of theirs off the ball.

Funny the Yorkshire post and the HDM had Millar as the highest rated player. Dont see anybody on this forum that agreed with that in this thread. Although there were quite a few that had him in second or third place

I thought Mehlem and Omur had decent games too. Jones looks to be improving within the system.

I thought Millar was great until about 60 mins when he was obviously knackered. Won us the ball back loads and looked a huge threat.

I also think Mehlem was great buzzing about in the first half but seems to have gone unnoticed by most.

Just everyone doing the usual and putting Coyle top because he tries hard.

Mehlem was excellent I thought, real live wire. Broke play up, won fouls and played forward. Coyle was good too, but he was arguably just at fault for the first goal as others involved

Yeah fully agree on Mehlem, I was really enjoying him, his and Millar's pressing was really good.

I think once we have a right winger giving us an out on both wings we'll be much stronger, leeds just kept doubling on Millar second half meaning he wasn't effective.

Yep we are a much better outfit with 2 natural wingers on the pitch. Excited for after the break now

Five points for first choice, three for second, one for third.

    Zambrano 62
    Coyle 49
    Pandur 42
    Millar 13
    Omur 11
    Mehlem 10
    Jones 7
    Bedia 6
    McLoughlin 4

Coyle and Pandur have seen regular entries on our MOTM so far this season but this is Zambrano's first appearance.

A sign of things to come hopefully - the creative base of a dynamic and attacking midfield which blows allcomers away with speedy and jaw dropping skill, resulting in a bagfull of goals for our two inexperienced strikers.

    We can all but dream.

Does Zambrano glide across the park as well as a Zamboni driver glides across the ice?

With a little assistance from Mr Google, I would say 'Probably not'.
