Hopefully our next couple of games we can see Walter play a full strength team, proper wingers on both sides, Omur in the middle, Zambrano & Puerta in midfield and Hughes next to Jones. Maybe then after a few games of him having a full strength squad to pick from we'll see what we're capable of.
I said Drameh played for 220 minutes that was over 5 games surely it's the minutes a player plays not the number of games he plays in is how he should be judged
Despite today’s result not being great, it was actually a better performance than last week. It is getting better, and like I’ve said three weeks running it’s the same as it was last season when we had to wait a couple of months for the system to take effect. I’m happy to wait for it to kick in. My concern is that our owner isn’t as patient as I am.
rhetorical /rɪˈtɒrɪkl/ adjective 1. relating to or concerned with the art of rhetoric. "repetition is a common rhetorical device" Similar: stylistic oratorical linguistic verbal 2. (of a question) asked in order to produce an effect or to make a statement rather than to elicit information. "the general intended his question to be purely rhetorical"
When Ehab took over the reigns he told Bruce to find the players but leave the negociations to him. Bruce wanted full control and that's when it all turned sour.
I know the definition ta, just don't see how namedropping an ex manager who left for bigger things is rhetorical. Usually there's a point to it.
Walter clearly has a style. He’s implemented the same style at Holstein Kiel, Stuttgart and Hamburg and he’s in the process of imposing it at City. As for being unpopular with the players, did these texts say why?
I thought it was more to do with Ehab not wanting to pay realistic fees or wages when we'd got promoted
People have counted the last 5 games as an extension of pre-season. The point is there is no sight of his style of play, no improvement either to the eye or results.
4 games in and this nonsense has commenced? I have no idea whether or not Tim Walter is capable of getting us to play silky soccer but he's more than entitled to his chance. I wasn't expecting Rosenior to be ousted when he was,I found it odd but it wasn't my choice(incidentally, his Football could frustrate and I said early on in proceedings that I saw him as stubborn at times).Rosenior was bumped, the majority agreed with the owner that it was the right thing to do. We then appoint an unemployed, unknown German...This man was the real deal,he advocated a brand new strain of Football(Walterball)??? Whatever the **** that was or is,I have no idea,I never bought into it and still don't know what it's supposed to be? I've since listened to him,saw his passion, his determination,he came across as likeable, I went with him,I bought into his sincerity... He's had 4 competitive games with his hands tied behind his back and he now has to deal with players thrust on him on the last day of the summer transfer window... I'm my view he deserves a chance,if he can't turn the corner by the time we've got half a season under our belts then maybe he is a dud, maybe we should invite Steve Bruce,Jose Mourinho,Alex Ferguson or Pep Guardiola to come and change our fortunes. Until that time and in my opinion I think he deserves our support.
Everywhere? Our goals scored didn’t improve. Our goals conceded didn’t improve. The heart attack football didn’t materialise.
It's way too early to judge just yet, but considering the possibility we lose to Sheff U, that'll be 3 points from 5 and the 3 games after that could well set the tone for the season. I'm all for patience, but I'm not sure it's our owners strongest quality.
"Rosenior was bumped, the majority agreed with the owner that it was the right thing to do." The 1904 Club podcast held a public meeting. None of the fans in attendance agreed with Rosenior's sacking. I agreed with his sacking. The two ex-professional footballers on the panel said they understood why he was sacked.
