Definitely mate. RLB has been close to a revelation, plus a lot of the young lads have a good year more experience to call on. What a start to the season
That was ****ing beautiful. just continue to be amazed by the ability of rigg, the lad is the real deal …..there’s some competition to get into this side now. Neill and Alese out ….Ballard and Browne fit in seamlessly and mayenda keeps contributing. Very very early in the season but I’m going to enjoy this while it lasts!!
Another quality display. Regis really has us playing like a well oiled machine. Feel a bit gutted for onein you could see how gutted he once.
And doing this without Clarke, 2 weeks to wait though Plymouth then the Boro. all time best ever winning start Reading 13 i think.
Watching the game again and waiting for us to have our usual last season 20 minute panic but yet again in never came Team just look like a real unit with absolute quality all over the park. Could pick three or four for MOM But after 4 games I’m giving it to RLB. what a transformation. And what has happened to Roberts the lad never stopped. Him and Rigg look fantastic together on the right
4 goal contributions in 4 games for Eliezer not good enough Mayenda (I’ve also been guilty of saying this so not a dig at anyone)
Probably since Moses first opened his window and thought it looked like rain Edit I'm a dick, it was Noah that built the boat
guess we had to concede at some point, would have liked to get that '4 wins out of 4 and 4 clean sheets' label but at least they never scored. about half way through the second half i honestly wanted to see them attacking more, i wanted to praise our defence for some 'heroic' work at keeping them out but it was just more of the same, steadily keeping the shape, covering each other and doing their jobs. midfield, nice to see when our 'main man' was out that he was not really missed, no one really stood out there either, just did their jobs..although after a quiet first half, rigg was like a jack russel after a rat at times in the 2nd half, would not let them go, chasing them down and harassing them, he deserves a couple of goals. mayenda led the line again and did nowt wrong, got himself an assist but is deffo growing into the team. unlucky for luke, knew one of pompeys lads was 'around' him so did what he had to do and got his head on it, sure he will shake it off. plenty of options again but i am giving my MotM to mundle, another very handy game and another goal, still a little 'raw' but another starting to grow into the team. RLB could be in for a manager of the month award here, i like what he has done to this squad, the difference to last season is that these lads know their jobs and are doing them without fuss.
gonna be tougher times ahead but you know what I can see an organisation and pattern of play both off and on the ball which I haven’t seen for a long time. people will inevitably make mistakes but everyone seems to know their job and just as impressively they seem like a group well done to all involved been great to watch and long may it continue
Ever. The 105 point season we drew the second game and won the other four of the first five, then started drawing a few games. Let’s start getting excited.
Those cheap breakaway goals are a thing of the past. Also loved how Roberts and Mundle at points both said ‘aye there’s your two player block inside, let me go outside where it’s clear’
Think he deserves an additional mention - looked infinitely more composed than he has done, the assist for Mundle's was very tidy too
Really very good that. Rigg has been sent from a different footballing planet than most. Sensationally good footballer. Massive kudos to RLB. The balance he has brought tactically is very good indeed. Rarely does a team smother the opposition so well, yet have such fluidity in possession. The structure out of possession is a coaches dream. The lads are executing to the letter. Credit to Dodds and Proctor too. They have clearly bought into RLB and are delivering their roles very well too. So pleased for the fans that went down there today too. There isnt an away support like ours anywhere in this country. Now an important two weeks of training and integrating the new lads. Come back after the break and start again. Excites to see where we can go this season. Rigg man...
