As I’m sure many of you are aware I’ve never been Martins biggest fan but there is no point sacking him now. We made our decision to stick with him, when it was (imo) blatantly obvious that we would really struggle in the prem with his style.
Yeah I've also never been a fan or rated him very highly but we have to give him a few months at least.
I agree that, just because Burnley did it with Kompany last season, there's no reason to assume that we'll stick with Martin no matter what. What Burnley did was rare...and weird. But I also don't see Martin going anywhere until November at the earliest. Maybe even longer.
Nah, we'll lose but play well. Everyone will be saying we've turned a corner, play like this we'll be fine etc etc ... And then get smashed at home to Ipswich a week later.
I just think it will be like Kompany. If we do go down presumably we will have a strong team for the Championship and that is where his style thrives. Guess it also depends on how mental the fans are going if we are doing a Derby and he’s not being sacked
Sad truth is he’s a lovely bloke but not a very good manager. Going to be a long season so just have to enjoy the few positives like watching Dibling
