Similar to Pompey at home. Dominant for half an hour then let them in for 10 minutes. Meslier is a disaster waiting to happen. He's not good enough. He'll cost us points this season. Very very poor. Solomon looks good. Aaronson has done well at 10. Referee has been very poor. He literally blocks our players runs. We constantly get our shirts pulled and nothing is given. Rodon does it and it's an instant yellow. Lewis Coyle has almost raped Solomon twice and we haven't even got a free kick. Their striker pushes Rodon to the floor whilst he's up for a header and it's play on. Dreadful performance by the referee. He should be demoted just for that half.
Doesn’t matter if we had a worldy back 4 when we use tactics like this. Yes we can be dominant if we keep the ball but as soon as we lose it there are yards of open space behind our defenders and guess what we are exposed and lucky not to be behind. Plenty of skill and effort from Solomon and Aaronson and Willy getting involved just wish he knew the offside rule. Joseph leading from the front and defending well too
I thought we started and ended the half quite strongly, but allowed them into the game in between when we seemed to lose our shape and composure and could easily have gone behind. We've been a bit too frantic often, and Gnonto caught offside way too much. As for the referee, utterly dreadful. Need a goal early in the second to calm things down a bit. If we get one I think we could get or 3 or 4. Good to hear a packed ER in fine voice.
