Totally get the point but I think where we are now in the league aligned with having cash might be a missed opportunity. Of course that opportunity remains next window if the players click.

Signings seem decent on paper, let's hope they settle and can bring something to the squad sooner rather than later.

Thank Christ we can concentrate on the football now.

I'll look forward to seeing the Kenwyn Jones style backflip again from a Sunderland player.

I thought the same. He has a similar build to him when he first arrived.

    Agreed.
Its quite nice watching a team playing exciting football.
We will get there and hopefully be well prepared to play in a higher league.

Hopefully the fans give the new lad more time than they gave Hemir and Mayenda mind! Minds were made up on those lads when they signed due to their game time and it’s taking more than 2 in 3 to start reversing that for some. Similar declarative statements have been made about Abdullahi in the last 12 hours and I expect they’ll be just as tough to change:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Watched a couple of his youth clips at gent.

looks like he thrives off the shoulder, is tall, fast, physical. Looks like he fits the profile of a striker we need. His finishing is good. Not seen his back to goal work yet. But I’m sure @Scout73 will say more on this with wyscout

but the initial signs are very very promising

I’m hoping we experiment with original AA and Rusyn out wide at some point. Also my guess is we’ll get to some point this season and wonder why Tom Watson hasn’t been a starter from the beginning.

On a loan with option we may have, promotion would make that eminently affordable but as an outright buy I think our ceiling is lower. Maybe 5m plus add ons but not substantially higher than that at a guess.

and no we're arguably the inverse of Blackburn, imaging having a 20+ goal striker.

They tried and failed, you can be optimistic about the majority of the recruitment but the failure here outweighs that for me.

It's like turning up to the ok corral with two six shooters and we've only got 3 bullets in one.

You make that £20 bet and you’ve most likely done your dough. The only UK based player to have ever scored more than 15 on that list is Moore (who did it once at champ level 4 years ago).

We have 3 strikers who may end up having great seasons for all we know. Signing a experienced striker doesn't guarantee you goals

Do our two loans have an option for us to buy?

What we need is a striker who will bring other players into scoring positions by being a target man… I don’t believe “goals” is ever the objective.. we have players all over the pitch who can score.. we don’t have a target man

Nope. But the Welsh lad is put of contract in the summer so if he likes it here we should get him.

Spot on. That extra striker really would’ve solidified us for top 6 imo. If Isidor picks up an injury we’re back at square 1 up top. Can’t complain with the rest of the business we’ve done brought in some really solid additions

Your example is pointless and not relevant to football at all

You are saying its not a good window yet we have signed lots of very good players so i can't agree its not a good window just because of not signing 1 player

We dont know how isidor will do, he has scored goals at a decent level so he could well be the answer
