Aye that's it for me Disappointed we didn't sign another striker and I think we'll regret it . However the options we now have in midfield are superb Feast and famine
7 year contract for Stansfield so for accounting purposes his signing is “just” a £2m signing every year. That’s how they’ll get away with it eventually.
The midfield is unbelievable I’m happy with our CB options. RW is fine. RB is fine (Onien can cover comfortably imo) LB is weak then ST/LW is weak because we didn’t sign one more of either. the squad overall is ****ing fantastic imo. But striker is a very key position
Too much pressure for a 19 year old, same for Watson who will at an even more critical age of development.
They’re evidently not jobe or rigg, who we forget for their age are superstars. more pressure at that age isn’t great unless you’re a world beater
Why on earth are the 3 signings not announced? No reason for it. Doesn't have to be flashy announcements just acknowledge that they are signed.
I’m going to try to look on the bright side. Our striker options are better than they were last season. Could and should have been even better though.
That’s actually worse for them no? Once they get promoted to the championship PSR comes into play so that’ll be £2m a year wiped off their turnover straight away
I’m less worried about left wing- Bennette and Watson could be decent there( assuming they haven’t gone anywhere on loan without being announced). We really did need another centre forward. Still think we’re slightly better there than last season. Look strong in midfield and defensively if all fit but worry about full back competition.
One of those one off insane deals that sticks in your head like Carroll going to Liverpool for 35 mil.
