I'm a old poster from years ago on the. Came off it when kids tried to post crap about safc that they had no experience of. God my first game was seeing Sunderland getting stuffed at roker park on a rainy Wednesday night in the mid eighties, I think playing spurs. Got beat 3 nil I think. But he'll I enjoyed game and asked the girl to dip the Bovril twice so I could taste it lol.
Thought we'd have a couple over the line by now. Seems like we might get stung for a bit on a big striker loan deal. Might have to just go for it even if the terms are a way off what we want. Orban was probably a pipe dream but negotiations for him or someone of that ilk could easily be still going on. Trying to save ourselves £500K or something probably!
People have every right to be concerned at the striker situation right now. It’s possible to be concerned and still see what happens in the next 3 hours
exactly. It’s a discussion forum. If we’re supposed to wait until the window shuts let’s just lock this thread until 11.
I think it’s great that we’re doing well and gives us hope. Equally it’s the right time to sign someone. Clearly wages.
Not I am not attacking the regime, which I realize is your default answer to anyone you don’t agree with, I hope and trust, they bring someone in, but if they don’t we are hoping things go ok up front. You can’t capitalize hope.
They have absolutely made mistakes. But the window shuts at 11, see what happens. The lad from Bournemouth, Browne, great signings. We’ve made some good signings, kept some important players.
I'm a bit worried now expected something announced by now! But even if they don't sign anyone I won't attack the club, I 100% agree with how things are done. If the player they want isn't available or the selling club wants too much or shifts the goalsposts they won't be took for a ride. If a player would rather go somewhere else for more coin they won't break the clubs wage structure to get him if anything it probably puts them off signing the lad, they want players who see what they are trying to do and want to be part of it. Our club won't be on the brink under this lot! So if things don't work out I'll be dissapointed but won't think it's the clubs fault or cause the owner wants to pocket the money. Maybe I'm a happy clapper but so **** I'd rather that than be looking for the negative in everything!
This lad is the consolation prize I'm clinging onto now. Might depend if they get Broja done. I don't think he's the answer but he'll contribute and add depth to the position.
I am impressed with Mepham coming here. He will bring that perfect mix of experience and quality. He is a calm sure footed defender. He will make others better because of that calmness. It also makes me feel, for the first time, 3 at the back is an option should we need it. Probably been mentionee but his contrqct up in the summer. Bournemouth have moved up from his level. I fully expect him to be here next season too. A really smart loan move by the club.
