Yeah I understand that but people will question where they money has gone/going! I thought the model was sign cheap, develop them and sell for profit then upscale the signings?
So do i mate, folk getting stressed and i get it but i dont understanding moaning or slagging off the club when the window is actually still open For all we know we have a striker pretty much done, ill always judge windows after it actually closes
We’ve had about 4 deals very close and tried for a few strikers. Saying “it’s not on” m, for me, assumes the club haven’t tried, when they blatantly have
Rather we sold Clarke than Neil, Rigg and Ballard. He was definitely our main threat last season but we seem to now have more balance in the team.
I’m not questioning where the Clarke moneys going. I’m questioning our ability to execute on a plan though. There’s not a chance we had hoped to go into the season with just Isidor and Mayenda as senior strikers.
In a way a loan makes sense. Short timescale, high competition, easy to just blow it. That’s if you’re not sure. I think we need another forward or 2 of course but not don’t want us to be giddy with the cash
No one has ever said thats the model tho, fans have made that up The 'model' is signing exciting players who we can develop and make us a better side I dont care when or how the money is spent as long as its on good players, some of the money might be spent today, some might be spent in Jan and some might be spent nxt summer The important thing is always 'are we stronger at the end of the window' than at the start of it. At the minute i think we are, and thats mainly down to having a manager that knows what they are doing. I also know we need more quality to really challenge for promotion I dont care if we spent 1 or 5 million on a striker as long as they fit our system and can contribute NOW
I absolutely don’t think Speakman should be sacked but I also don’t see why rejecting a £2m bid for an England youth international is proof he shouldn’t be
I'm going to wait until the window is closed and hope we get someone across the line but this is clearly a serious issue
