According to Talkpish Liverpool has agreed a fee for £6million for Enrique. First of all the fee in insulting. Secondly, Talksport take great pleasure in talking up transfer targets from the so called smaller clubs to the, again, so called larger clubs.

I hope it isn't true, I could just about cope with losing Jose for the £12million quoted last week as I think that would enable us to sign Izaguirre (who is almost identical in the way he goes about his game). But 6mill, I would be furious.

Can't see the Toon making a loss on a player who has been a star performer this season and whose stock will only have gone up. He will go in the summer but I recon it'll be for at least 12 million.

Pardew and Carroll himself both said they were committed to the club. I believe the lure of European football plus a wage increase has already turned the bull's head. The fat man at the top now has a tough choice to make. Sell now and get a decent amount for him or put up with a potentially unhappy player and get a fraction of his value next year because he only has a couple of month on his contract left; a fact many clubs will be happy to exploit.

 

Or give him what he wants and spend the Carroll money on players to show the ambition needed to persuade Jose (and Joey, Tiote etc) to put pen to paper.

Even the Pieman couldn't be stupid enough to take £6m for Jose.

The only way that would be done is if the £6m was done legit and he got another bundle in a brown envelope.

If we just sold one of our best players for £35 mil then why would we sell Jose who's been one of the best LB's this season who has been linked with United for just £6 mil?! It doesn't make any sense.

 

This makes me actually painfully desperate to finish above Liverstool! I know it's not gunna happen but nothing would currently bring me more pleasure (I think I could actually sacrifice a higher position to the Mackems if we could finish above the bin-dippers)!

 

This is what affectionately like to call bollocks. To be fair to the fat man he's not a mug when it comes to getting transfer fees. There is no way he would take the same amount paid for a player, how on earth is he supposed to make a profit that way?
