While both instruments look generally similar, a cornet is smaller than a trumpet, and often rounder in shape. Another big difference is the size and shape of each instrument's interior chamber, known as its bore.

I have no idea if he would be a regular starter for them or not. That’s what he needs more than anything.

edit: I also assume that we’d only let him go if we do have incomings in the wide areas because regardless of whether you think he’s good enough for the PL right now, we don’t have the depth there currently.

 

I'm only concentrating on the brass section at the moment. But you can be in charge of strings.
