Nick pope is awful! Not a good keeper at all. If he’s in the top 3 English keepers, then I fear for us!!
He’s a very good shot stopper but rubbish with his feet. 32 y/o now, I don’t get the call up at all. Pickford is obviously number 1, surely a youngster should be in the squad ahead of Pope.
I don’t even think he’s that good a shot stopper. Has moments like any keeper, but he often puts the ball back into the danger area from simple saves. Agree it should be a youngster in there instead. Would make much more sense
Another mess of a squad IMO. Too many similar players - particularly left footed attacking midfielders. Not enough orthodox central midfielders. Just hope we don't have to see Clare Balding get another start. Is this the last break where we'll have to put up with Carsley? Not much to show for his tenure, really. At least we've identified which players are not true international quality I guess. One positive is identifying Angel Gomes at least.
