Football fans will only remember the times when ridiculous, club-risking gambles like that pay off. That fee is over half of their total income for this season. Yikes.

Exactly what I’ve just said to my mate. They’ll be in trouble in a few years.

I linda get what Birmingham are doing, bigger clubs, namely us and Leeds, got stuck down there for years.

If it doesn’t pay off mind they are ****ed. I do think they walk that league though.

Stunned at Toney at such a low fee.

I'd be terrified if I was a blues fan.

They'll either win the league with 100+ or go bust.

They bought badly though, can’t argue that Brum are buying very decent players.

Wigan bought ‘good for League One’ Birmingham buying Championship players.

Mind, we didn’t get up u til we bought League One players…

I’ve not come across a single one of them yet that doesn’t think what they’re doing is completely sensible and sustainable and that they’ll be a premier league club in a few years so doesn’t matter.

    scary

It’s not just £10m on a striker. It’s £10m on a striker who wasn’t good enough to save them from relegation.

    It’s a sentimental signing and it’s bonkers.

Pals just texted he’s heard ‘a striker from Scandi leagues’

Scout? Anyone jump out? Isn’t that where your clubs based?

I’ll drop a name if he gets one. He had ‘young lad from West Ham’ for Ekwah, if I recall correctly haha.
