Maybe we're planning on loaning Orban this year and planning on still getting Mendy in either January for a cut price fee or summer next year on a free.
What we reckon then? Out. Ekwah AA Pembele Ba Anderson Possibly another loan. In. Striker Orban?!?! Alesknic Kari Samed A busy day in store. I really hope they get what they want and I think they will.
Even if it's not Orban, this is exactly the type of player we're after. Mayenda is in a similar mould, so is Isidor.
It’s showing we are going after a better style of striker and players overall. Think this is RLBs influence
The first mention of Gift Orban was on this forum because of the plane going to Lyon and coming straight back. Is it not just a case that rumours have snowballed from there? Alternatively he was actually on that plane - this place could crack the enigma code if there was player signing info at the end of it.
8.20 and we have not had a scarf pic yet! That’s it the world has ended sack the board, close the ground fold the club. Let’s all form a queue to throw ourselves off the Wearmouth bridge. Life is no longer worth living. Just thought I would give you a summary of RTG, to you all the time and angst involved in reading their transfer threads.
Yeah definitely. Players to suit the system. You can see in the recruitment of the midfielders RLB knows we need strength in depth in midfield. The type of football we play will lead to burn out. Need quality players to rotate in and out. They know this means upfront too.
That’s their response to the link to Orban (because it’s a loan), genuinely! Wish I hadn’t peaked in to be honest.
As much as he gets stuff wrong and gets called by some, pretty sure Fishpaste would only write an article if he'd heard it was true.
Orban is a significant step up on anything we've signed for a long time. I hope it's true but I honestly can't see it happening, he should be playing top flight football.
Orban would be a hell of a coup from a football perspective however isn’t he meant to be a bit of a dick? I hope we’re still doing pretty thorough personality checks on our signings as we’ve got a really good group at the moment and it only takes a couple of bad eggs to affect that. Wasn’t not being able to manage difficult personalities part of Le Bris’ downfall in that second season at Lorient? Having said that, it’s only hearsay and rumour about Orban being a bit of a diva. He might be a great lad.
