Given the relative distances involved to see (mostly) reserves on a Tuesday evening just after the Bank Holiday, I'm amazed any Plymouth fans came - let alone less than Franchise FC - all credit to them.
Fans ain't what they used to be - I remember hitch-hiking to Plymouth for a Tuesday night match in 1969.
Their biggest gun was Aguero who played the whole game - he hit a second half hat trick. Rather alarmingly, our keeper that day was Jonathon Bond, who gave City the lead when he made a pig's ear of saving an Aguero shot. I was there, and had money on us to win 2-0. With us winning 2-0 at halftime, we were braced for the best night out ever if it had stayed that way! I remember the odds on us winning 2-0 were longer than city winning 10-0.
