So with 15% share I doubt they give much of a ****. They're in it for property development with the stadium plans, which is why I think a move is more likely, that's their wheelhouse. For the Saudi side? Well, the appointments at the top have been strong. There's a full exec team for the first time ever, CRO, CFO, CEO, CMO, etc. There's big stadium plans. There's big players. There's big bids. There's likely big frustration at PSR. However, my personal opinion is that Eddie and Jason are now the ones out of place. Their appointees and guardian angels arent there, which clearly rattled Howe. Plus last season wasn't a good look. And the Summer hasn't worked, whatever part they've played. Maybe they're just a managerial duo not befitting of the glamour wanted by Saudi. Mitchell has come in from big spells at So'ton, Spurs, RB Group and Monaco. We've got Bruno, Isak, Tonali, Gordon, Joelinton, Livramento and are getting bullied (in part) by So'ton and a Forest B Team. We look bored, lethargic, one dimensional. We're £500m deep and are reaching for 10th, the spending has been weird and I dont think the Guehi situation has helped Howe - too many think that was all he wanted, no smoke without fire. Anyway, I've gone on too long again and will now be smacked in the balls by @Charlie Dogscock
Just dropping crap when I see it; Troy Deeney thinks Guehi is defiitely moving tomorrow. Didn't say Newcastle, was on Talksport and said something like "I've got a little bit of inside.....I think he'll move". He was pressed on "to Newcastle" and just repeated "I think he'll move". Link:
And the best case scenario is that the Saudi’s are going to bankroll us to win anything and everything. Just tell yourself that.
They haven't won anything and that's why you want. You'll be unlikely to ever see Newcastle win anything. Chances haven't increased much.
The problem is your rants go off at every angle and lose the plot, you're frustrated with lack of transfer action, but then you start bringing in things like we need to follow Chelsea transfer policy, Howe dared to be interested in Kalvin Phillips once, we'll never be top 6, a load of journalist twats are bitching about us, the world's ending, blah blah blah whatever. The daily histrionic bitching is getting tedious.
I think he’s just frustrated and quite rightly so. People have different levels of patience. I literally have none. Mostly for people. But this window has been weird. I think we are all frustrated to differing levels.
What frustrates me the most is the excuse of PSR. There are so many legal ways round. Hell the limit is £1M for sponsors to fall under scrutiny of related parties so..... 50 x £999k sponsorship for anything and everything - official pen sponsor, official window cleaner, etc etc. Thats £50M right there. Piece of Piss. I know that is simplistic but hell that's me thinking for 5 mins. Look at St James Park, apart from the electronic boards at the bottom, the advertising space is un-used. We could easily rustle up more money if PIF etc really want to. I dont get it at all. People harp on about waiting for Man C tribunal but that's just a red herring. Something smells fishy and it aint the Tynemouth fishing boats........
And that’s also my concern I don’t get it either. I think Roly is the same. The opportunities are there we don’t seem to be taking them. He’s frustrated and I am also. We could have signed 2/3 players within 60m this window which would improve the squad. Quite why we went balls deep on the Palace player is a mystery. And it makes me wonder whether this was always the plan. Howes had a lot of money. Maybe PIF have said look we want a return. There’s a power struggle.
