I'd like nothing more than another Tiote-like player.. the bargain for world class player... but not all players can adapt to the english game. Bendtner knows the game and the pace of the league.

I'd rather have Hooper from Celtic.

We need a first choice striker, if Bendtner was this then surely he would be playing every week at Arse.

The only game they've played recently was Barcelona he sure didn't score in that game. Don't remember him scoring against Ipswich, but I know they won 3-0.

He did score against Ipswich in the 3-0 win, http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/league_cup/9371217.stm

He played against Stoke yesterday, didn't watch it tho, so I don't know how he did :D

Good point cbrad. There has been some mention of his good scoring record but when you consider he has been playing for a team which has consistently been in the top three of the highest goal scoring teams in the league and with a wealth of creative midfielders supplying him, I think his scoring ratio is pretty poor. On personal viewing I've never been impressed with his composure in front of goal and think that playing for a team with a less creative midfield his ratio would get worse. Just my opinion but I think we could and should expect better for that sort of outlay.

Arsenal are a title challenging club who consistently finish in the top 4, they have some word class players, its little doubt that hes not first choice.... but he would be good enough to be our first choice because at the moment we are a mid table side, maybe slightly better.

Yes he's one I'd like to see here too, I always forget him when I'm pushed for names. He'd be available for a few million, is a composed finisher and has good movement. I'd also take Albin on a free as well but not sure where he'd fit in, we do have HBA after all! This looks good to me, the current back 5 and then:

    HBA - Barton - Tiote - Jonas
    Hooper - Albin

Could do with more presence up front but I could see goals from that team.

Pav is a class act but is 29, I'd rather pay the same money for someone younger who has the potential to be better, saying that though if we could pick Pav up on the cheap I definitely wouldnt say no.

Bendtner is crap! the worst first touch ever and crap in-front of goal, he doesn't have much of a work rate either. So in that respects he's a younger version of Ameobi which we'll be paying around £10 mil for - NOPE!

I think he's a good player but his attitude seems a little too.... odd for our changing room. £10m is a lot, I'd say £7m would be fair but Arsenal wouldn't sell for that.

I'd rather we targetted some other younger players who would be proud to play for a club of our stature rather than seeing it as a 'step down'.
