We’ve sold our player for this summer. If Ekwah goes for £7m next year then less need to sell another? Also if he performs well he might catch the eye of others and go for more!
Udinese made an offer of 5 million which we rejected seems silly to when its clear ekwah wont play here that 5 million could have been used for a player or two we will get a very small loan fee
We don't need to bring more money in this year, pushing it to next year will be better for the books. Plus, the Udinese bid could've been structured poorly from our point of view.
I would argue we do need money this year, we need to strengthen the team in the next two days, as said is press conference a defender will be now needed with AA injury Striker x1 or 2 2 x cm (are coming in) 1 full back Possibly a winger the Clarke money wont cover all that so there is an argument taht there is a need for money and its clear ekwah is not in RLB plans
Can I clarify something here. In an earlier post you advised that we turned down 7 and you are now saying it was 5. Which was correct? My recollection was that Udinese made an enquiry and a figure around 7 was mentioned, as a result Udinese went quiet. I don't know what actually happened and I am only going off reports and tittle tattle
Looks like Sunderland won't sell anyone without a replacement 1st (apart from ones that are not in 1st team line up)
Playing time and wages getting moved. Be replaced for someone who RLB believes can make more of an impact.
The Clarke money definitely covers that, the 2 CMs coming in are a loan and a fee that could eventually get to around £3m but the original fee is not high, we aren't going to spend big on a full back and I doubt we'll get one anyway, so that just leaves 2 forwards. Plenty money to spend.
Why are we justifying selling a player next season as a way to purchase more next year? Are we resigned to another season in the championship already?
They offered 6 million euros which is in and around 5 million pounds (which was from fab Romero who is not wrong) This deal is a loan with an option of 7 million euros which is in and around 6 million pounds
Why are we assuming that we are selling a player next season to purchase more next year ? There could be a multitude of reasons for loaning rather than selling.
