Worries me that we’re now one knock away from Hjelde being introduced.

Hope we somehow sort the striker tonight, don't want to go into tomorrow worrying all day but it looks like I will be for the fourth window running, just hope it's finally the right outcome

Maybe wait and assess Hjelde under a more settled regime and a better head coach?

Everyone in the second half of last season was saying how ****e Roberts, Jobe, Mundle and others are. I'm not sure many will be holding those same opinions at the minute.

We really don't see a place for Ekwah if we are willing to just loan with an option.

Something sad about this mind, thought he was Imperious against Preston on the final day and the 1st Leg against Luton.

Not the same since Colback crocked him.

RLB says they are looking at "other positions" so with Alese, Seelt and Huggins all injured it wouldn't shock me to see us bring someone in who can cover a couple of positions. LB who can play on the right as well would be ideal.
Maybe a PL loan - city must have a couple of young lads they can send us

Can’t say I’m surprised. When was his last good game for SAFC?

Helping to spread our incomings to assist with PSR/FFP maneuverability? Particularly with Samedi and Isidor here initially on loan, presumably with purchase fees next summer.

Could also be to assist Etienne with their own FFP/PSR pressures - seeing a lot of deals like that being agreed.

Making room for Samed and Aleksic. RLB mentioning them specifically suggests those deals are done.

See I see that the other way, if we’re leaving it open to an option we’re willing to see how he gets on at least. If we were forcing the obligation then fair enough

Isidor can play LW yes, did he have a good season at LW yes, he also had more goal contributions at CF in that good season at LW and his best goal-scoring season also came from CF. Zenit fans at the end of the RR article also said Isidor would suit CF in a faster paced league

Proof - 22/23 (the good season at LW) and 20/21 his best goalscoring season

Took his goal well that day. Can’t remember him ever ‘running the show’ apart from Luton at home in the play-offs but we all see the game differently <cheers>

Plymouth at home maybe? West Brom away because of the goal if I’m clutching

edit might have been Stoke actually, scored a free kick

Not what people were saying watching him last season though. Or if you watched him for those four or five months in isolation (which is the circumstances under which we've been able to watch Hjelde) then someone may say different, that's the point I'm making.

I wouldn't judge any player based on that period alone.

Problem with PL loans is that the parent club will want them to play if they are any good, which they might not for us in those positions. Otherwise you just end up with someone the PL club are happy to get off their wages which we’ve seen before…
