Yes and no. The truth of the matter is that football fans these days are becoming obsessed by the wrong things. It's all transfers and ambition. All of these things are byproducts. They may well increase our chances of success, but it's also possible they don't. If we sign nobody else this summer but we go up has Speakman failed? Is there really NO defence of him if we continue to win games? On the flipside, if we do go out and spend every penny of the Clarke money in the remainder of the window (and then some) but go on to finish 9th, will our fanbase remain unwavering in their view that spending was Speakman doing the 'right' thing - and keep the pitchforks in the cupboard?
As asked previously… Mundle - Isidor - Roberts OR Clarke - Mayenda - Roberts Easy decision imo. We need reinforcements.
It’s a fair point, what if Isidor has developed physically over the summer and RLB thinks we need other priority signings? He’s also happy to develop Mayenda as back up?
