Can everyone not see what I mean? Little break there and there's NOBODY within 30 yards of Isak and he's got 2 or 3 defenders. The formation and tactics are utter ****e. They were for large parts last season - unless we are playing at a thousand miles per hour in this 4-3-3 with a super high press, the formation does not and cannot work. I don't know why the manager is so oblivious.
We cannot do anything right. We can't attack at pace, counter, keep possession, work the ball up the pitch. It's all huff and puff. £500m, complete trust in Howe, and we're literally steaming backwards. Forest are camping on our box. We haven't done that once in 3 matches.
Howes changes are not based on the game.. he just pre plans them. He appears to have absolutely no ability whatsoever when it comes to game management. Awful his Newcastle are awful.
Usually you expect teams to start switching things up a bit after perhaps, 2 seasons? Once every single club has you on file and know what to expect, it becomes easier and easier for opposition to prepare. We have dipped our toes in trying something new with different formations, but if it doesn't start off well we revert, I think Howes too comfortable.
