Another absolutely abysmal performance so far... whatever they're trying to do with these players doesn't work. There is absolutely no pace anywhere in the backline or midfield.
It has been an exercise in ****ing up every time we get the ball, and we're expecting Tonali and Bruno to just dig us out the ****. I'm just not sure this 4-3-3 gets the best out of what we have, same old issues. Bruno getting caught for pace, 'cos he's isolated (and not a CDM), Isak isolated, Miggy's one trick show is back, not dissimilar to Barnes. We're just not high up the pitch enough. I wonder if Joelinton put in a full destroyer role with both Bruno and Tonali pushed forward together would be better? All he's then got to do is find a 5 yard pass to the two best midfielders we've had, they can then look for runners. I still maintain we DESPERATELY need better than Almiron.
Poor is an understatement.... it's all well and good when winning but the problems need to be addressed. They won't keep getting away with this Awful ... a mess.
We're unlikely to be by the end if we carry on. Thing is, this has become our identity. 10-15 mins of sparkle, then we drop off massively and the opposition comes at us.
Willock is always a big miss and they don't address that area of the squad. There is no pace in the backline or the entire midfield.....no mobility whatsoever.
The two cbs are so poor it's unbelievable...Barnes is a lazy **** and almiron is doing trippiers job Tonali is better than the lot of them
