Thing is he was £10m a year ago and he's now, what, £30m? Which takes me to the point that we can and should be able to find these players given we've taken on about half a dozen scouts in the past year or so. This is why Howe's comments are such nonsense. Semenyo was better than Almiron and Murphy a year ago playing for Bristol. There must be dozens if not hundreds of wingers with more about them than the two donuts we have. Same with RCB, I think Guehi would struggle to make a top-50 list of CB's worldwide.
Yeah I know mate.. that stuff was utter gutless bullshit because people were calling the fans worse than ****.
We’ve signed Osula - maybe this time next year he’ll be worth £30m! Your going to complain no matter who we go after
Hey, I didn't complain about Osula. In fact I said it was a good signing, that finding a decent third choice would be difficult and he seems like a good purchase. But he's one player, 3rd choice CF! We did need that cover, but it's yet again another window where the priorities aren't addressed. We haven't bought a right winger since Rafa was here.
Look at all the youngsters we’ve signed, a good proportion of those are going to be quality. We will play some and others will be sold for big money. All your frustrations are down to the PL and certain other clubs trying to block us.
More or less, yep. Ultimately that's what it boils down to. I'm irked that the club doesn't appear to have come to terms with it very well, as demonstrated by the PSR firesale and our sluggishness post July 1st. But ultimately, yes, ALL of the issues are due to ridiculous rules that protect nobody but the rich. I mean it's not as if Portsmouth aren't where they belong anyway, so quite who these rules are designed for is a mystery. What's even more of a mystery is how nobody until City has even challenged them - and even then they're only challenging the third party rules.
