Apparently the deal for Luton's Chiedozie Ogbene is nearing completion. Excuse my ignorance on this one, but never heard of him before. He played 30 times in the Premier League last season for Luton and scored four goals. From what I can understand, he's fast - really fast. And he can play across the three attacking midfield positions, so adds a bit of squad depth. We're going to be breaking the £100 million transfer spend this season aren't we?! Well, probably £25 million odd this summer as the rest will be spread across multiple years.
I do agree. Forest of course stayed up that season (and the next) despite the criticism they got at the time. I just hope we’ve got the recruitment right where we’ve both improved the team and retained the strong team spirit that has got us this far. I’m confident that we have on both counts. And if we do get relegated, we’ve got a strong squad to compete for automatic promotion next season.
My new guests have just rocked up, returning guests, so we have met before.... Millwall season ticket holders, proper Millwall supporters, never miss a game unless on holiday. He has told me he is going to watch Cordoba v Malaga next weekend.....look out Malaga supporters, Millwall are in town What a great laugh they are tho, great banter but wouldn't want to meet him on match day
Ogbene is a good signing. We need to assume that Burns is crocked. Broja was found to be injured at his medical so that’s a great illustration of how you can burn through huge sums of money for no return. We've dodged a bullet there - even if we sign him it will have conditions for his availability attached to any deal.
…..which KMc will blend and coach into a more than decent Premier League side! There, finished that sentence for you!
Not a bit of it! We have a number of exciting attacking wingers and midfielders now. Couldn’t be further from the dross of Mick McCarthy’s time. The only area of weakness now is between the sticks.
I have to say, I don't get this 1. If he starts on the right, we move Hutchinson to the number 10 role and then play Clarke on the left, that means Szmodics doesn't play. I know we will rotate but this one feels a little unnecessary to me
Yeah, essentially upgrades the likes of Harness and gives McKenna the option to bring on the “finishers”. Seems like we’re after pacey players too with a bit of Premier League experience.
