It’s football - we could win both games or we could lose both or we could draw both or we could win one and lose the other or we could draw one and win the other or we could draw one and win the other. This isn’t a competition! Nottingham Forests big signing has been for our very own Anderson
Ah the bed wetting phrase. Even if we sign 5 players before end of window, it's very clear to those that care to look that NUFC is stagnating. 3.5 years after take over and we have Murphy, Miggy etc etc still in the 1st team. Sponsorships, where are they. Stadium and training ground plans, where are they. Christ we have Brighton spending £220M in one window and sign players with ease. Meanwhile at St James.................
There is nothing you can say to these people. They actually go into seasons thinking Newcastle are going to win something despite 60 years of evidence to suggest otherwise. They're the type of people that watch James bond and then walk into a casino blowing some dice and then throwing their entire livelihood on no 9.
The squad would have been 25+ at the time of the takeover. That is 5 windows plus this one hich isn't closed yet. Three new players each window (first team quality) would only at the end of this window give 18 new players. Allowance has to be made in regard to how much we are allowed to spend and the restraints that causes. Consider how much each new player could cost given the quality we are supposed to be looking for and add in wages and agents fees. Then think PSR. Then think of the issues we have apparently had in June this year on what we have spent. Yes, we didn't need a complete overhaul of everybody to compete but to win we did and do. Now ask why we still have one or two of the not so good players in our squad who will play subject to the type of game, injuries, suspensions etc. Now stop panicking,
Point number 1. It's not 3 and a half years - It's 2 months shy of 3 years. Point number 2. We have a new front of shirt sponsor, a new kit manufacturer and a new sleeve sponsor. In addition to this there's at least 10 long term club partner sponsors. Point 3. Why the **** would the club issue stadium plans and training ground plans before they feel comfortable with what they are going to propose? Guarantee there's going to be a backlash when they come out one way or another and mainly from people who don't even go to the bloody ground anyway. Point 4. Brighton sold £190m worth of talent last year. You either use it or lose it in this day and age of PSR. Point 5. Meanwhile at St James'
