More tour dates to be announced? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13785837/Oasis-tipped-announce-touring-glory-dates.html
Virgin Radio saying Wembley has been reserved for 4 more nights and likely to be the case with other venues as well

Wouldn’t say I’m a musician but played guitar nearly all my life and been in bands most of it too. Most I’ve played to is about 2000 people, but that was playing covers, so deffo not a musician. I certainly can’t write songs anything like Noel can. If others can, they would be as big as Oasis. The most beautiful songs and designs in life, are the ones which seem simple and accessible, but crafting those takes skill. Long hair rock solos, widdling around scales is not music to me, just noise, but all about taste.
Squire will no doubt make an appearance at Wembley given his recent work with Liam I reckon. Heeeeeeeeeeeeres Johnyyyyyyy
Not true mate. Music industry is failing new musicians now. There are loads of writers as good as or better than Noel. Thanks to X factor etc it’s killing it. You also need masses of money on the first place or you wil get nowhere sadly. (Trust me I know this first hand). you are generalising massively on my solo comment. Not saying about the “wildling around” btw. That is essentially what Noel does, just on the same scale all of the time. It’s just everything is the same. Clapton is and always will be one of the greatest, Jimmy Page too. Both using intricate music theory to create something which isn’t a pentatonic. And is not just a solo for the sake of it. Slash too. Listen to November rain, it’s an 8 minute song and half of it is guitar, but it’s utterly beautiful guitar. The tone etc. Oasis are (were anyway) brilliant at what they did. I like Morning glory except for its two biggest songs. But I can’t get away with the rest. it’d be a boring place if we were all the same.
Totally agree with this. I was at my sons wedding yesterday and and was talking to an uncle of the bride, a tour bus driver. Worked with loads of rock bands, and told some great stories, could have sat listening to him for hours. Said the worst he's worked for were x factor bands, with girls aloud being the worst. Radio mic's turned off during songs, and only turned on between songs for talking to audience. Mentioned loads who do it, all x factor types. Said he absolutely hates ferrying these types around. The best band he's worked for? Well this came as a shock....Motörhead. Done three UK and European tours with them, said they were brilliant to work for. Also very complimentary about David Coverdale, really nice down to earth. Had loads of photos on his phone, honestly could have sat for hours with him.
Back in my short stint in Brum I used to serve halves of lager and lime to Black Sabbath's original roadie/fixer/Iommi's assistant and he was just imprisoned in happy memories of days gone by. Sabbath, clearly nutters, were all proper nice normal lads who just loved to play music and get really really ****ed up. Was never huge on them prior to meeting the guy but can't help but like them since.
Get what you are saying. I can appreciate the technicality of that stuff, but wouldn’t choose to listen to Guns and Roses or go to a gig of theirs ever. Noel’s wrote better b-sides than most of their album songs. Music industry is tough, but if you are good enough, you can break through. Look at Gerry Cinnamon of recent years. No record label, rarely does interviews, just playing the gigs, getting his songs out there, hugely popular. I know a fair few unsigned bands, they typically have a few good songs, but nowhere near Oasis levels. Regardless of our taste differences, we can whole heartedly agree the manufactured stuff is awful and hopefully the Oasis reunion gets young lads and lasses back into bands.
Guy called Ren I’ve recently caught onto, great rapper/singer/poet who draws on his mental and physical health struggles. Millions of views on YouTube and a solid fan base but doesn’t seem to have that big record deal and worldwide fame
Seen a couple of canny songs by him. Not sure how it would translate into a live gig. Hope he does well.
I agree, interestingly he performs some of his songs live on streets (busker style) which works very well.
