Ipswich signing clarke from sunderland Literal championship dream team over there Think they jus looked at the team of the year and tried signing as much as poss Theye even tried for philogene
I think if they had gotten Philogene they wouldn't have signed Clarke so that might have worked out nicely for us, not sure Villa would have gone for Clarke.
Slumberland supporters not happy... "Just had a text from a mate, neither of us gets information so it’s probably a load of ****e. Spurs percentage comes out of the upfront fee we get for Clarke, they get nothing from the add on bonuses"
It's the Chelsea effect. He's done well at loads of clubs, which is why they signed him and gave him one of their long, big-money contracts. But then of course they got bored of him after a few weeks and have been trying to get rid ever since. Just one of many players they've done this with. But to other clubs he's a valuable player.
If unproven's are going to the prem for 15 - 25m then isn't it just a reflection of a ridiculous market?
take wages out of it. Just amortisation over a 4 year deal is a stunning depreciation. That player would have to earn that club 10m plus wages a year to be a feasible expense.
Looks like they probably should have sold earlier, cos they haven't got significant extra value from delaying it. And he was always going to go.
Burnley are getting gutted this summer. In the last couple of days alone they’ve sold Dara O’Shea and Ameen Al-Dakhil for ten-figure fees. The issue being, they’ve got until Friday to bring in new players. A few more could still leave.
