Well he did. He took Perez off the line and breezed past Charles shortly afterwards. He was quicker than everyone else. It was the right call for George to stay out as he would have plummeted down the order but they took a risk by allowing them to race. Should have switched the cars around. George managed his tyres extremely well but he stole that race from Lewis.
What are you on about? Why should they have switched them? Lewis couldn’t get past, and Mercedes got a 1-2. Tell me where in that scenario they got something wrong!?
I wouldn't go that far at all. Lewis drove well enough on the day to win plenty of races. It's just tyres didn't degrade nearly as much as people expected and Russell took full advantage until his car was found to be underweight.
Yep, disqualified. Interesting because after they finish they drive straight back into the pit at Spa, so there’s no opportunity to drive round and get pick-up on the tyres.
