I’m not really overly bothered about band music in general because I’m still a bit a charver at heart and listen to more housey kind of stuff but there was any amounts of kids at Liam Gallagher when I went to see him a few months ago. None of them knew half the songs. Missus is a massive fan though she hasn’t f*cking shut up about the reunion for about a week since she was told by a friend close to the band. Fully expecting her to start doing the school run in a bucket hat next week and calling everyone kid
My only memory of Foo Fighters is this. As you know me and the K clan live in Oz, having emigrated out here back end of 2007. There is a bar in Perth called The Lucky Shag. The WA branch of the Sunderland AFC supporters club asked the management of The Lucky Shag if we could turn up there to watch the Newcastle v Sunderland game. Looking at the fixtures this would’ve been on 19th April 2008. Loads of Mackems turn up to the bar and watch the game. Half time arrives and word gets around that Foo Fighters were outside. Loads of Mackems then pile out of the bar and see a big tour bus type thing parked up nearby. We all start singing “you’re not as big as Sunderland” at the occupants of the bus until the second half started. Whether or not it was Foo Fighters in the bus I really have no idea but it’s my only story I have about them so I’m choosing to believe it was them and Dave Grohl is now a supporter of the club because of us.
Make sure you have a Ticketmaster account with a saved verified card. If multiple people have basket at same time it prioritises those with verified cards and kicks others out.
The mrs has messaged me and said one of her mates who lives in manchester has said we can stay there. So digs sorted - just the easy bit of securing tickets........ If i dont get tickets might still just turn up and see if I can pick one up outside - did that for the arena gig in newcastle - got 2 tickets outside about 10 minutes before they came on - champion i thought - they were about 5 rows apart
Will be hard work mate, that is for sure. I have done ok getting tickets to some decent events in the past, but it seems much harder these days. A couple of things to consider, if you can. 1. Whilst you are in the queue on Saturday morning keep an eye with another browser tab on new date being released on the fly. Peter Kay did this and we ended up with tickets for 3 bloody nights. 2. If you can afford it the package tickets will go last, including hotel stay. When Liam played Knebworth it is how I got my lad tickets. 3. The obvious one is get everyone in the house on it. Saturday morning there will probably be four of us trying and likely 8 or more devices in the queues. 4. If you can make do with tickets in different places in stadiums you can sometimes hoover up single tickets. Trying to get them in groups doesnt last long.
