Really vague. Doesn't even say Sunderland, just the North of England. Could be a coincidence but it stemmed from a group of players being thrown out of the bar so it's a two and two makes four sorts deal.
6m euro is Equivalent of 5 million with at least a million of that going to West Ham. I’m far from convinced we replace him with better or at least equivalent and improve elsewhere with that. I’d say 7.5m pounds ( about 9m euro) is bare minimum to make it worthwhile unless RLB doesn’t want him or he’s desperate to go and even then I’d be disappointed with much less.
I agree with your logic, but the alternative is we price him out of a deal, he spends a season as 5th choice, his value decreases, and we end up selling him for £4m next summer.
I don’t think RLB rates him, doesn’t feature at all and definitely doesn’t work hard enough to play this style we are playing
Or he forces his way into the team or through injury, excels and we sell him for 20m or keep him for our first season back in the premier league. Fifth choice becomes first choice very quickly with a suspension and an injury.
That's a fine price for Ekwah as long as a sell on clause is included. RLB has mentioned 'consistency' in every interview and press conference so far, Ekwah is the complete opposite of consistency. The system we are playing requires really specific types of players, if we can move on players that don't fit (Ekwah, Aouchiche, Rusyn and others) and replace them with better fits then we should definitely do it.
I’m so torn on Ekwah mind, as we know what he is capable of and he comes across as a great lad as well. No point selling him this window now regardless unless we have a ready to go deal in place that needs funding.
