Statistically we are quite likely to grab 3-4 own goals over 38 games

Another rumour out of Brazil... definitely a better goals record and a similar price range (although seemingly an immediately permanent deal) so you wonder whether he is/was on our list somewhere (not that you'd sign for Saints instead of Forest)

I assume the age factor - Pedro is 27 and Yuri Alberto is 23 - could arguably be part of it too

Perhaps the word on the street, is that Saints are looking to sign a striker from Brazil, and the assumption it was this Alberto fella? We could be in competition for this guy.

There is a lot of angst and bitterness going around for fans of a club that just came off a fun, exciting season.

Slagging Martin for selling a player he doesn't want when he has never said anything to that effect is a bit rich. He's a young Argentinian guy who didnt speak English and moved to a team with no compatriots. Is it really that hard to imagine that he simply hasn't settled? He's maybe just not happy as indicated by the fact he's off to Flamengo or wherever. He's going 'home' not moving to Forest. That speaks volumes if you think about it. The club might just be trying to do the right thing by a young man.

Give the manager a break, wish Charly well. I enjoyed him while he was here but it didnt work out.

The big worry for me this week is Kyle, Wouldn't shock me if Man City come in for him after selling Cancelo.

I agree with all of this, Also moving Charly on allows us to utilise Dibling too, He would not get that opportunity as often with Charly on the bench.

That's an excellent point actually about his mind being too quick for his body and I completely agree. At times I almost felt he tried to hard which made him ineffective instead of as you say playing on instinct.

Another example was our first home game last season v Norwich. First half he was awful and was running around like a headless chicken with nothing coming off for him. Second half he calmed himself down a bit, found some pockets of space, and waited for the play to come to him instead of trying to force it and was unplayable.

This for me is the one positive. They’re similar in that they play positively on the turn, which is what we need, so hopefully this will be a breakout year for Tyler.

I bet he goes to Newcastle. Trippier is unsettled, maybe because he realises they are looking at KWP or maybe because his form has dipped over the last year, and KWP showed Eddie Howe what he can do very clearly when we played them last week.

We'd be mental to let him go tbh. One of the few players we have who's definitely up to it at this level.

Yeah, it's too close to the deadline now to let him go barring a ridiculous offer coming in which won't happen.

Doubt it TBH. If they were to go for a full back they'd probably want a left footed LB. KWP can obviously play there but he's right footed and Newcastle rely on their full backs for width. Tino is their RB now and will be long term so they won't be blocking his pathway to the first team. If Trippier leaves then maybe I could see them making an offer but can't see them meeting our valuation.

Their move for Gimenez has collapsed then.

I think that’s what’s so frustrating about his time here. We saw glimpses of the talent and the solution seems a fairly standard coaching adjustment.
I get why he didn’t play much last season, Stuart Armstrong was/is a far more consistent performer, but now he has left and not replaced, we look very ordinary in the final third.

Yeah saw that. He tends to play off the left forward position i thought. Tricky, fast feet.

Didn’t look ready for the EPL, but what do i know.

Any news on the new goalie? Considering he was supposedly flying over Sunday for a medical you'd have thought there'd be a snippet or something?
