I was at every home game and all of the cup games except this one. I was at Middleton Camp with the school. Couldn't wait to get back home once I found out the score. Thankfully, my Dad and I both managed to get tickets for the final. My Dad was given another ticket by Jack Walker (Ex-Blackburn owner), who he worked for and went into the Wavendon with it on the Friday night. There was a group of lads he knew in there apparently and only one of this group didn't have a ticket, so he was delighted to be given it and immediately left the pub to book his transport.
